Description
TreesUpstate invites Canyon Ridge to apply for our Neighborwoods program! The goal of this program is tree equity. This community tree planting initiative targets neighborhoods with little to no tree canopy. TreesUpstate will coordinate a neighborhood-wide tree planting event to install 15 gallon trees with volunteers on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) neighborhoods, Greenville Dreams, Habitat for Humanity neighborhoods and City of Greenville Special Interest neighborhoods always qualify! Previous Projects include Monaghan, Brutontown, Freetown, Sans Souci, Needmore, Abigail Springs, Saluda Bluffs, and Creekside.
Requirements
Find 12+ neighbors and plant 17-30 15-gallon trees in your neighborhood. Residents are responsible for marking private utilities which may include but are not limited to: water, sewer, & irrigation.
Cost
FREE to residents. Includes a 15-gallon tree, delivery, tree diaper for watering, site visit with a TreesUpstate staff member, SC811 call, project coordination, and volunteer installation.
